Follow this link to find a fantastic story starter resource. It is great place to find inspiration for your narrative stories.
Remember, narrative stories begin with a setting (who, what, where, when etc.), followed by a sequence of events (perhaps 3 to 4 events), and within it all there is a problem to be solved. Narrative stories end with the solution to the problem.
There are opportunities to write fantastic descriptions during narrative writing, especially when you are describing your characters and setting.
