Maths for Fun with Parents
‘Maths for Fun’ is a fun and creative way of involving parents in their children’s learning. Research has shown that children learn maths more effectively with the help of concrete materials and maths-based games.
How will it work?
The class will be divided into pairs or small groups. One parent will work with a group, which will have a board-game, such as snakes and ladders. The parent may take the game home beforehand to familiarise themselves with how it is played.
You do not have to be a maths genius to get involved! This is a fantastic way to help your child to learn maths. Time is precious but we hope that you can join us even for one of our 4 weeks in your child’s class. We thank you for your continued cooperation and commitment in making this programme a success.
